The rose cut are performed on a specialized type of ornamental lathe. Traditionally used to engrave, or “turn” intricate, geometric, and wavy patterns in metals, wood or ivory. I have retrofit the machine to use gemstone cutting attachments and create what I call, the Rose Cut.
